John McCullough has over 40 years of extensive experience in the plasma industry, including founding Reconvergent Technology and co-founding PlasmaPharm. He held key leadership roles, such as Principal at Hemogam and President of Hemarus Plasma, where they developed and operated FDA-approved plasma collection facilities across the USA. Additionally, they have been the exclusive distributor for Sanquin in Brazil for more than 25 years and supplied plasma and biologicals worldwide through JEM Research.
Svenja Barckhausen, with over 30 years in the pharmaceutical industry, she most recently served as Executive Board member (COO) at Europe’s largest private blood and plasma collection organization, overseeing blood products, plasma collection as well as diagnostic and cell therapy ventures. She spent a decade as Senior Director at Biotest AG, managing procurement and sales of plasma, plasma proteins, and toll-fractionation. Renowned internationally, she has been a keynote speaker at major industry events and led a humanitarian project transforming unused cryoprecipitate into FVIII, earning global recognition. Svenja is accounted for as one of the leading experts in blood plasma.
Patrick Selosse has over 45 years of experience in blood fractionation and protein purification and has held a board position at Octapharma for 25 years. He hold a patent for the first stable liquid IgG and pioneered key virus inactivation and ultrafiltration methods to increase production efficiency. He managed multiple fractionation plants in Europe and implemented innovative technologies like solvent/detergent virus killing and nanofiltration on a large scale. Patrick has developed the Onix method which is a state-of-the art latest generation of plasma fractionation combining chromatography with cohn fractionation. Patrick is accounted for as one of the leading experts in fractionation technology.
Artur Lakusta headed the development and roll-out of Ukraine’s blood and plasma collection network and managed business development for plasma-derived medicinal products. He is a certified Salesforce Marketing specialist and has managed expansion projects in the plasma industry as a project manager. Artur has a legal background and he has designed IT solutions for digital campaign planning and consulted on omnichannel marketing projects for several top global pharmaceutical companies.
Dr. Guillermo Vila has 15 years of experience in plasma fractionation, protein purification, and quality assurance. Former head of the Argentinian fractionation plant, he holds a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. He has led R&D efforts, established molecular screening systems for blood-borne viruses, and managed operations including production and logistics. Guillermo is a highly acknowledge consultant in plasma fractionation particularly in Latin America.
Sami Chtourou has over 30 years of experience in research and development of plasma-derived medicinal products and holds more than 45 patents covering a wide range of therapeutic plasma and recombinant products. He has developed various human IVIG brands, innovative fibrin glues, nanofiltered fibrinogen concentrates, and universal plasma for emergency use. Additionally, he has led advancements in hemophilia treatments and held executive leadership roles driving biotherapeutics in thrombosis, hemostasis, autoimmune diseases, and intensive care. Sami is accounted for as one of the leading experts for plasma derived medicinal product research and development.
Bilal Hamdan managed $300M+ in UAE family investments, founding Axiom Prime with $100M+ in sales. He co founded PlasmaPharm. His expertise spans real estate, finance, healthcare, and markets in Africa and the Middle East.
